Stories of the Canterbury earthquakes will move to a new home in August.
The popular Quake City exhibition in Cashel Mall will close its current location on June 25.
Commissioned by Canterbury Museum, the interactive event opened in February 2013 to give visitors an authentic earthquake experience.
The Museum has signed a three year lease on Durham Street and will update the exhibition to reflect recent changes in the city.
Acting Museum Director Jennifer Storer says visitors to the city are still very keen to learn about the earthquakes and more than 190,000 have visited since opening.
Storer agrees visitor numbers showed a very strong case to continue the exhibition elsewhere when the lease expired in Cashel Mall.
